Carlos Luis Curbelo (born March 1, 1980) is an American politician who is the U.S. representative from Florida’s 26th congressional district, having won election in the2014 election. He took office on January 3, 2015. Curbelo is a Republican.
Curbelo was previously a member of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools board.[2] He attended the University of Miami where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public administration.[3] He is the founder of Capitol Gains, a government and public relations firm.[4][5]
He is also a former state director for former U.S. Senator George LeMieux of Florida.
In February 2016, Curbelo and Democratic Representative Ted Deutch created a bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus in the House to “explore policy options that address the impacts, causes, and challenges of our changing climate.
